Hook up the scanner to the provided SCSI card,
and turn on PC. When the New Hardware wizard comes up, pick the option to disable
the device and not install driver. The device will remain enabled by default and will function normally. Install
the TWAIN driver from CD, and scanning software. Use the scanning tests in software to set up scanner.
Canon
Make sure the Adaptec ASPI manager is installed. DO NOT
install scanner or software before this! It is located on \\tcu.edu\dfs1\clients\utils\win2kaspi
(run aspiinst.exe to install ASPI
manager).
Next, turn the machine off, install the SCSI card, and hook up the scanner.
Restart the machine and install the scanner software, and TWAIN drivers from CD. Use
the scanner software to calibrate scanner.
